Music Ministries Director
Heather Ramirez was born in Arlington, Texas and has been a Houstonian for 35 years. She is excited to serve as the Music Ministries Director of The United Methodists of Baytown & Mont Belvieu. She graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Music degree and a minor in Education. She has 13 years of teaching experience at the elementary and middle school levels and she taught in private and public schools.
She served as the choir director at Park Place United Methodist Parish in Houston, the Director of Music Ministries at Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church in Baytown, Texas and the Director of Music and Children’s Ministries at Cypress Trails UMC in Spring, Texas. In 2011, she received her Certification in Spiritual Direction from the Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Heather is also a licensed Zumba, Zumba Kids, Zumba Toning and Zumba Gold instructor.
Heather has been married to Pastor Luis for 25 years and they have one daughter, Isabella and a dog named Luna.
